“My Buddha Has Arrived” — Enigma of Relics and Relic Processions in Early Buddhist Art Forms of South Asia was an enriching and insightful session organised by the IQAC and Student’s Council Committee of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyala featuring Dr. Tishyarakshita Nagarkar as the speaker. Held on 22nd September 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kanaka Sabha, the talk offered a fascinating exploration of Buddhist relics, relic processions, and their representation in the early art forms of South Asia.
The session beautifully brought together art, history, spirituality, and cultural heritage, offering a deeper understanding of the traditions, stories, and symbolism preserved through Buddhist artistic expressions. It was a truly meaningful and thought-provoking gathering that encouraged us to appreciate the richness of our cultural heritage through a new perspective.
