Nalanda at the Commonwealth Games

Urvashi Parmar, Meera Wagh and Jainami Gada, Final Year M.P.A. students of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, had the honour of performing Bharatanatyam at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony 2026 in Glasgow on 2nd August, as part of Shiamak Davar’s Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA).

Performing Bharatanatyam on an international stage under the guidance of Shiamak Davar was a memorable milestone, reflecting their dedication to the art and the training received at Nalanda.

The performance marked a proud moment for Nalanda, as its students represented Bharatanatyam and the institution on a prestigious global platform.
