Nalanda Dance Research Centre successfully presented Nalanda Nrityotsava – 2026, a national festival dedicated to celebrating and encouraging young talent in Indian classical dance. The programme held on 12th January 2026 commenced at 6:00 p.m. onwards at Kanaka Sabha, Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Mumbai.
The evening featured captivating performances by four young artistes representing different classical dance traditions. Ms. Poojashree C. G. presented a graceful Kathak performance, followed by Ms. Ratri Manik, who showcased the lyrical beauty of Manipuri dance. Mr. Darshan Shankar enthralled the audience with his expressive Bharatanatyam presentation, while Ms. Maitreyee Ingle concluded the evening with a dynamic Kathak performance.
Each performance reflected disciplined training, aesthetic depth, and a strong connection to classical tradition. The programme was well received by rasikas and stood as a testament to Nalanda’s continued commitment to nurturing the next generation of classical dancers.
