    Show at Kakasaheb trust Santawani

A presentation by Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya titled “Santwani was showcased by Teacher Shri. Taamohar Biswas along with students of Master part 2 ( Bharata Natyam)

This choreography was originally created by the legendary dancer and guru, Padma Bhushan Dr. Kanak Rele and yesterday it was presented under the guidance of Dr. Uma Rele, Principal, and Dr. Vaidehi Lal.

The presentation began with an invocation to Lord Ganesha — the remover of obstacles, the harbinger of auspicious beginnings, and the divine guide of all sacred endeavours. Through graceful movements and serene expressions, our artists offered their devotion at His feet.

Following this, the presentation unfolded into the sacred depiction of the Dashavatara — the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. From *Matsya* to *Kalki*, each avatar portrayed how, whenever the world faced turmoil, the Divine descended to restore balance and protect Dharma. Our artists brought each avatar to life through expressive dance, rhythm, and powerful abhinaya.

This segment was performed in the Marathi language.
