Eklavya'- a story entwined around three characters from the popular epic 'Mahabharata' - is one that highlights the importance and place of a 'Guru' in a disciples heart. Eklavya, wanting to be a disciple of Dronacharya, is rejected as he was a Nishad Prince, a tribal prince. He then creates a statue of Dronacharya and practices relentlessly. Upon knowing about Eklavya's prowess in archery, he asks for his right thumb as his Guru Dakshina. Eklavya, without a single doubt or second of hesitation, offers it.
The story of Eklavya portrayed by visiting faculty member Shri Taamohar Biswas, Degree student-Mohanraj Acharya, and Degree student Meera Wagh at the Mysore Association was an ultimate story highlighting the aspect of sacrifice. This was set under the able guidance of Principal of Nalanda, Smt. Uma Rele Ma'am on 3rd May at Matunga, under the theme of 'Thyaagya' curated by Guru Kalashree Dr. Lata Surendra Ma'am
